English tutors to share information in Bahrain forum

MANAMA, March 3, 2015

English language teachers in Bahrain and the GCC will gather this weekend to share information and experiences.

The two-day conference, Bahrain English Language Teaching (ELT) Professionals Network, will start on Friday (March 6) at the Arab Open University in A'ali, Bahrain, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

The event, titled 'Differentiation That Makes A Difference', will consist of 16 sessions conducted by educators specialising in English, in addition to three plenaries.

Keynote speakers include California-based educational consultant Donna Brinton, Kyoto Sangyo University English department Professor and chair Thomas Robb and Cambridge University Press educational consultant and teacher trainer Peter Lucantoni.

The event is being sponsored by British Council, US Embassy's Regional English Language Officer, Ahlia University, Dar Al Maaref Institute and Express Publishing.

Participants can register early, at a cost of BD15 ($39), at the British Council today (March 3) and tomorrow.
