Senaat to draw Emirati talent at career fair
ABU DHABI, February 2, 2015
Senaat, a leading industrial holding company in the UAE, will scout for talent to fill almost 350 combined job openings reserved exclusively to UAE nationals at a major career fair that opened in Abu Dhabi today (February 2).
Tawdheef 2015, the UAE’s national career fair, will run until February 4 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
Senaat will be joined by representatives from its portfolio companies including Emirates Steel, NPCC, Ducab, Agthia, Arkan and Al Foah, a statement said.
It will look to fill positions in the fields of engineering, finance and accounting, human resources, commercial sales, project management, legal and business and financial analysis.
Suhail Mubarak Bin Athaeeth Al Ameri, CEO of Senaat said: “We are on a mission to bring more national talent into the UAE industry. This is a sector with huge potential and it is imperative for young Emiratis to recognise the importance of craftsmanship and industry for the prosperity and long-term growth of this nation. We also want students to appreciate how exciting this sector can be, and help them see the limitless opportunities on offer to those willing to venture into our world.”
“Tawdheef is the ideal platform for us to carefully select the future generation of Emirati pioneers who come with a passion for industrialisation. It is the right place for us to emphasise, today more than ever, the importance of our industries and their contribution to the welfare of our society on so many levels.
“It is also an opportunity for us to introduce our industries to those students who may not have considered this career path. Emiratis are under-represented in the industrial sector despite the massive potential that it embodies and its significance to our GDP. In many ways, it is our national duty to showcase the exciting projects the industry has on offer; and there is no better time to do so than at Tawdheef, while these young Emiratis make career choices that will ultimately shape their lives,” he added.
Mahmood Al Hay Al Hameli, SVP Business Support, Senaat said: “Our goal is not limited to simply bringing to light the boundless opportunities on offer from an industrial sector’s perspective; we are also here to tell these young students that if they were to join us on this journey, they can rest assured that they’ve not only secured a job, but have rather embarked on a career which Senaat will further and complement with the best available training and professional development programmes out there.”
“From day one, we take it upon ourselves to develop a generation of competent and skilled Emiratis involved in furthering the UAE’s industrial sector and leading its economic diversification strategy – and we do so concretely: we offer world-class professional development programmes to our most outstanding employees. This includes business school executive programmes in association with leading international academic institutions, businesses fundamental trainings and tailored management courses.
“Our commitment to fostering national talent and entry into the industrial sector goes well beyond our own backyard. In fact, our initiative has taken us to Europe and the US among others, as seen in our sponsorship of events such as the UAE Student Forum in London and Washington, DC, where only a few months ago in Washington, we interviewed 250 UAE students who had expressed great interest in our company’s contribution to the industrial success of Abu Dhabi,” Al Hameli concluded. – TradeArabia News Service
