Bedaya Center hold training programme for interns

The Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development, a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech, staged a summer training programme for 23 young Qatari recruits and interns from Qatar Chemical Company (Q-Chem) for the second year running.

The training programme aimed to help young “trainees” adapt to their new work environment and lay the foundations for a bright career future.

The programme was held over eight days at the Qatar Independent Technical School (QITS).The programme included several key, youth-related training areas such as career planning, creating a curriculum vitae, learning how to conduct a job interview, handling staff personality differences and how this affects the process of building a work team and enhancing their skills.  Also the programme covered time management, problem solving, effective communication, public speaking, influencing leadership skills and how to make a positive change and set goals, a statement said.

In addition to the workshops, Bedaya Center offered career guidance sessions for all trainees, to help them set clear future goals, identify their strengths and leverage them, and create a career plan for future training and development. – TradeArabia News Service
