Saudi Arabia-based Technical and Vocational Training Corporation has signed a deal with Mobily and Microsoft Arabia to raise the level of using technology in its educational process.

 

It aims to enhance productivity levels and prepare all students in a better qualified way for the labour market, said a statement.

 

Dr Ali Bin Nasser Al-Ghafis, governor of TVTC, said the signing of the agreement comes in belief in the role of the technological development in enriching the training process and this coincides with the efforts made by TVTC in the development of national human resources in co-operation with the relevant authorities of both public and private sectors.

 

The institution is seeking to equip all training units with the modern technological equipment in line with the latest technical means that would qualify the trainee to be commensurate with the developments in the labour market, which depends upon technology. TVTC seeks to provide training programmes with a high level of quality and have the latest technical aspects.  

 

Khalid Bin Omar Al Kaf, managing director and CEO of Mobily, noted that the technology is no longer a luxury as it has shortened the time and effort and provided all necessary tools for both student and teacher at any time and place.

 

Through this agreement, tablet computers will be provided for the trainees with productivity applications (Microsoft Office and other educational applications programmes and applications) on the devices to be used in the enrichment of the training process and upgrade the level of productivity, and preparing all students in a better qualified way for the labour market. - TradeArabia News Service
