Sharjah Ladies Club hosts graduation ceremony

Sharjah Ladies Club organised the graduation ceremony for the eighth group of its Basateen PreSchool Centre.

The ceremony took place at Sharjah Ladies Club’s headquarter yesterday in the presence of Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi, the chairman of Sharjah Education Council, and number of women leaders and parents.

The centre’s closing function for the school year 2014 was attended by Marwan Al Sarkal, the CEO of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority, Khawla Al Sarkal, the director of Sharjah Ladies Club, and Amal Al Amir, the director of Al Basateen PreSchool Centre.

Al Amir delivered a speech in which she paid tribute to Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, the chairperson of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), vice chairperson of Sharjah Ladies Club, for her continuous support to the Centre and for her attention to education issues and enriching the Centre’s projects year after year.

Al Amir thanked parents for their cooperation and the Centre’s teachers and educators for their efforts in improving children’s cognition and skills at this critical age.

Al Serkal said: “Sharjah Ladies Club is eager to organize this annual ceremony in which we share with the parents the joy of their children graduating from the nursery and their readiness to enter kindergarten and school."

During the ceremony, the centre’s children performed a number of songs including ‘The Story of the UAE’, a show which praises the nation’s achievements and expresses loyalty to its leaders and people. Students were presented with graduation certificates and the best performers were presented with certificates of appreciation.

Basateen PreSchool Centre teaches various behavioural skills, Arabic letters and vocabularies, Quran, and basic math.-TradeArabia News Service
