Manchester Business School hosts open day

Manchester Business School Middle East Centre (MBS) partnered with Viceroy Hotels & Resorts for the group’s recent inaugural ‘Education Open Day’ for staff, which attracted more than 80 employees.
The regional arm of one of the world’s leading business schools, MBS supports more than 1,600 part-time global MBA students (from 85 nationalities) across the Middle East with around 50 per cent of students residing in the UAE.
MBS also works with companies on in-house talent management andexecutive education programmes for their executives.
The school recently launched its latest programme for the most senior executives – the Global Executive MBA programme (Gemba), which is a highly personalised programme for senior business leaders, incorporating coaching and mentoring.
During the inaugural ‘Education Open Day,’ the staff members were able to meet counselors from the business school and learn more about the business and management educational opportunities offered through the Middle East regional centre.
Wellagin Torrefiel, the assistant human resources manager at Viceroy Hotels & Resorts, said: “Supporting the Viceroy Ideology of ‘creating inspiration and wealth’, Yas Viceroy organized the Education Open Day in partnership with several renowned universities from UK, USA, Australia, to encourage the pursuit of higher education and supporting professional development with the aim ofshaping ambitious leaders and global thinkers for the future.”
Randa Bessiso, the Middle East director of MBS, pointed out that the institute works with executives in the region’s most active sectors, which includes the dynamic hospitality sector.
"We actively encourage companies to support the continuing education, training and development of their staff in the region and so MBS was delighted to support Viceroy Hotels & Resorts in this education initiative for staff," she stated.
