Alba supports BTI’s career event

Manama, April 24, 2012

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), ranked as one of the largest aluminium smelters in the world, is extending sponsorship support for a major career event in the kingdom organised by Bahrain Training Institute (BTI).

BTI’s Career Week 2012 opened today (April 24) to run until April 26 at the institute premises under the patronage of Dr Majed bin Ali Al Nuaimi, Minister of Education.

The event presents an opportunity for Alba to engage with young Bahraini men and women looking for career advice, encourage them to consider the aluminium industry as a career option and share with them the story of Alba’s success in the past forty years.

Alba will be having a stand at the event where company representatives will be on hand to meet and interact with BTI graduates and trainees, and share with them what it takes to be an Alba employee.

"For the past twelve years, Alba has always taken part in BTI’s Career Week in recognition of the valuable service it plays in broadening awareness of career opportunities for BTI’s graduates and trainees,” said Laurent Schmitt, Alba’s chief executive.

“As a Bahraini company, we welcome and support every initiative that provides young Bahrainis with tips on maximising their career options and learning on how they can make a mark in the professional world.”

More than 24 companies comprising some of the leading lights in Bahrain’s corporate world are expected to participate in BTI’s Career Week 2012. – TradeArabia News Service
