Exam success for Bahrain students

Manama, May 29, 2010

All Bahrain students who sat the All India Secondary School Examination Class 10 examinations this year have passed, said officials.

More than 800 children aged 15 and 16 from six schools wrote the exam in March conducted by New Delhi's Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

The board had introduced a new system of evaluation called Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) based on grades instead of marks as in previous years.

A total of 489 students sat the exam from The Indian School, out of which 15 scored A1 grades in all subjects.

The lowest average score gained by any student is 50 per cent, the school said.

The 14th batch of students from The Asian School also achieved 100 per cent success.

School director Joseph Thomas and principal Elizabeth Joseph expressed delight at the results.

'We congratulate the students, their parents and teachers whose hard work has reaped fruits,' said the school management. 'Every year found The Asian School one step ahead.”

The 13th batch of Class 10 students from The New Indian School maintained their 100pc pass rate, the school announced.

All 65 from the ninth batch of Ibn Al Hytham Islamic School Class 10 students have passed.

Twenty-seven students from the New Millennium School's third batch of Class 10 secured 100pc success in the exam.

Al Noor International School's CBSE section achieved 100pc success in their Class 10 exam for the third consecutive year. – TradeArabia News Service
