Dubai, February 23, 2010

Edutech, a leading provider of educational solutions, has partnered with Quanser Consulting, a leader in research-based systems, to be its distributor for a range of control software and hardware solutions designed to assist the engineering faculty.

The announcement came at the Global Educational Supplies & Solutions (GESS) 2010, being held at the Airport Expo in Dubai until February 25.

As a regional partner, Edutech will utilise its comprehensive regional base to distribute Quanser’s more than 80 open-architecture control solutions for teaching and research.

Canada-based Quanser’s cutting-edge workstations include comprehensive curriculum to help teach introductory, intermediate and advanced-level controls.

Used in more than 50 countries around the world, the range of equipment includes experimental and research platforms for a wide range of mechatronic, robotic and control related applications. The move marks Quanser’s foray into the region amidst the growing need for effective technological training across the GCC.

“We are happy to bring the most advanced control solutions to further assist universities and young industry talent in control engineering and engineering education in the GCC region,” said Senthil Kugan, head of science and technology solutions, Edutech.

“This partnership will help us in our mission to provide the best equipment and solutions to the region’s students and enable them to take up successful careers in engineering technology.”

Quanser is recognised as the world’s leading developer of experiments and curriculum for teaching dynamics and control systems design hands-on and enabling innovative research in the areas of control, robotics and mechatronics.

Keith Blanchet, director of business development, Quanser: “As the region witnesses continuous demand for solutions to enhance learning methods in the areas of electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, aerospace and industrial technology, we are ready to bridge the gap between industry and academia by facilitating greater advancements in the development and implementation of leading edge control systems.”

“We are very excited to be working with Edutech in our expansion to the regional market, and we are confident that their expertise will provide a significant boost to our aims to penetrate the GCC,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
