RIT Dubai gets new board

The Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Dubai, a branch campus of RIT in New York which is located in Dubai Silicon Oasis, got a new board of directors.
During their first official meeting held at the Dubai Silicon Oasis, the RIT Dubai Board of Directors set the platform and granted approval for the university’s agenda for the upcoming academic year.
The RIT Board also discussed future programs, additional academic offerings and the institution’s strategy for the upcoming academic year.
“RIT’s presence in the hi-tech park in Dubai will significantly add to the strength and diversity of Dubai’s higher educational sector, while facilitating the creation of a skilled pool of talented professionals, especially within the field of technology,” stated Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed bin Saqer Al Nahyan, chairman of the board.
“RIT Dubai is currently offering post-graduate studies and advanced certificate courses in selected fields and is looking to expand the majors in a wide range of areas,” added Dr Mustafa AG Abushagur, president of RIT Dubai.
