Leading property developer Bloom Holding has launched the region's first Edition hotel within its mixed-use development, Bloom Marina, in Abu Dhabi, offering a new kind of resort environment and breathtaking beauty and serenity of Marina Bateen.

Edition Hotels is the most successful boutique hotel brand developed by renowned American hotelier and real estate developer Ian Schrager in partnership with Marriott International, with eight hotels already opened and 30 in the pipeline.

Strategically situated along the marina, the view on arrival is the distinctive and memorable exterior, reminiscent of the lateen sails of the traditional Dhow boats that the region was once famed for building.

The Abu Dhabi Edition features 198 guest rooms, suites and 57 exclusive residences, ideal for longer stays. Boasting a neutral palette and sweeping views over the surrounding water, each room features photography by the 20th century photographer Brett Weston.

Every aspect of the traditional hotel has been re-imagined to create a sense of superior warmth and welcome to guests. Anticipating the changing needs and desires of the modern traveller, The Abu Dhabi Edition offers a distinctive, upscale environment, encompassing innovative design whilst respecting and celebrating the lifestyle and traditions of the Emirati culture, said the developer.

The Abu Dhabi Edition blends the form and details of traditional architecture as well as natural local patterns that are the inspiration for the materials, colour palettes and details that feature throughout the hotel.

The Abu Dhabi Edition is home to three award-winning restaurants created by world-renowned chef Tom Aikens, famed for being the youngest chef to ever have been awarded two Michelin stars. They include Market at Edition, an imaginative, healthy lifestyle restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner; Oak Room, a traditional English oak paneled steakhouse celebrating world-class ingredients with British rock ‘n’ roll flair; and Alba Terrace, a serene, coastal Mediterranean-style restaurant that offers the finest locally sourced coffee and light lunches. 

Furthermore, the hotel wonderland features an international gourmet market, a lobby bar, a pool bar and a three-story Annex opening soon. 

Edition Spa, opening in late 2018, will be one of the most unique and special elements of the hotel, featuring separate zones for men and women and consisting of seven treatment rooms including two Hammams, a facial room and couple’s treatment suite.

Abu Dhabi Edition also offers two purpose-built gyms, and two beautifully white-tiled swimming pools, one connecting to the main hotel and the other in the private residences.

The property also offers over 900-sq-m of meeting and event space, including several meeting rooms, ballrooms and boardrooms.

The hotel is part of Bloom Properties’ Bloom Marina mixed-use development, a landmark waterfront destination strategically situated along the marina, and is 20 minutes from The Louvre Abu Dhabi and the beaches of Saadiyat, and just 35 minutes from Yas Island.
