Ajman working on major sewerage, housing projects

DUBAI, March 27, 2018

The Ajman Sewerage Company is currently working on several major projects in the emirate, including network expansion and development projects at Al Jerf Industrial Areas 1 and 3, Al Jerf Commercial Area 2 and Al Jerf Residential Area 2, reported the state news agency Wam.

The work also includes expansion of the sewage network in Al Safiya and the new housing projects in l Raqayeb, stated the report, citing a top official.

Elias Sufair, the director-general of the Ajman Sewerage Company, said: "Last year we completed several major projects, including the expansion of the central wastewater treatment plant and the linking of many properties to the sewage network."

"The amount of treated wastewater that is used daily to irrigate crops has now reached 50,000 cu m while the sewage network in Ajman collects 90,000 cu m of wastewater for the emirate’s central treatment plant, as well as 16,000 cu m of sewage from areas that are not linked to the network," he added.
