Makkah water project to be ready by Ramadan
RIYADH, February 7, 2018
Work is in progress to build five Zamzam water transits inside the Grand Mosque complex in Makkah, as part of an ambitious Saudi government project, said a report.
The Zamzam well project is being implemented in two parts. The first part will see the construction of five transits from the eastern side of the mataf while the second part involves sterilizing the water and removing concrete and iron particles from the area surrounding the well, reported The Saudi Gazette.
More than 250 engineers, technicians and labourers, supported by 11 cranes, are working round-the-clock to complete the renovation of the historic well and it will be ready before the start of Ramadan, it added.
