UDC completes work on Doha residential property

Qatar-based United Development Company (UDC) has completed the construction works for the first phase of Al Mutahidah Towers, a prime residential property at its master development, The Pearl Qatar (TPQ), in Doha, said a report.

An artificial island being built at a cost of over $15 billion over a four-million-sq-m area, TPQ boasts several major residential and commercial developments including Porto Arabia, Viva Bahriya Towers, Qanat Quartier, Abraj Quartier and Medina Centrale.

In addition, there are a lot of commercial establishments, retail space and world-class amenities, including beach resorts, restaurants, showrooms, meeting halls and entertainment facilities.

Al Mutahidah Towers, which comprises 450 high-end apartments and retail space, is located at Viva Bahriya. On completion, it will also have state-of-the-art amenities such as a gymnasium and indoor and outdoor swimming pools with a sea view.

Construction work on Al Mutahidah Towers began by 2016-end, and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of next year, reported The Peninsula, citing a top company official.

"The construction process and other works at Al Mutahidah Towers are going on very smoothly. The project is on schedule," remarked Abdulrahim Al Ibrahim, the executive director (commercial) at UDC.

"We have started selling for the first phase, which is already complete. The other phases will also be completed as per schedule," he added.
