80pc F&B OUTLETS LEASED

UAE beachfront community set for Q1 launch

ABU DHABI, January 24, 2018

UAE-based Miral has announced that its new vibrant beachfront community space, A’l Bahar, is on schedule for opening by the end of the first quarter with around 80 per cent of entertainment and food and beverage (F&B) outlets already leased at the beachfront project at the corniche, Abu Dhabi.

Delivering on the capital’s vision of offering unique experiences for residents and visitors, Miral, Abu Dhabi’s creator of tomorrow’s destinations, revealed last month that the 80,000-sqm mixed-use development will offer a total of 48 retail spaces, comprising F&B, entertainment, leisure, retail, as well as fitness and wellbeing opportunities for both residents and visitors.

To encourage a fresh wave of talent and creativity within Abu Dhabi, the A’l Bahar project is also dedicating retail space opportunities for owners of small businesses and entrepreneurs, which are available for short-term leasing to support and inspire pop-up entrepreneurial projects.

On the launch, Miral's chief portfolio officer BR Kiran said: "We are on track to launch the ground-breaking leisure, wellness and retail space by the end of March for launch to public, ahead of the Mother of the Nation Festival."

"Leasing of available retail spaces is also on track with a variety of leasing opportunities still available for both established brands and local start-ups which we feel is a unique and exciting advantage to this project," stated Kiran.

Establishing the emirate as a global destination for family entertainment and leisure, the beachfront development in Abu Dhabi will also feature a variety of sports facilities, with basketball and beach volleyball courts, soccer pitches and an outdoor gym.

Opening at A’l Bahar is Haddins, a health and wellness facility. Complementing the Haddins fitness services will be Bodytree studio, Abu Dhabi’s first and longest running Yoga and Pilates studio.

“Health and wellness is a lifestyle, not just a trend, and we are confident that the combined offering of Haddins and Bodytree will have the full spectrum of wellness covered, aiding the A’l Bahar community and Abu Dhabi to evolve into an even healthier and happier society,” said Michael Haddin, Bodytree owner.

An inflatable waterpark concept, at ‘AquaFun’, new to the capital, will also be offered for visitors and residents to cool off.

“With AquaFun, we have taken one of Abu Dhabi’s most beloved attractions – the beach – and added a very special twist," remarked Ahmed Ben Chaibah, the CEO.

"The family-friendly inflatable water park on the A’l Bahar beachfront will provide fun activities like waters slides, obstacles, ramps and an “I Love AD” floating structure. We can guarantee thrills, spills and fun all year round,” he stated.

Offering a complete leisure and entertainment experience on the Abu Dhabi Corniche,  will also welcome additional brands under its umbrella such as: Depresso, Margherita, Haagen Dazs, Ice Cream Lab, Urban Seafood, CupaGahwa, Miyabi Sushi, Tawa Bakery, Filli, and Scratch.

Construction work at the community project is also progressing on schedule. Infrastructure work is under way with cladding and aluminium structural work all in place, said Kiran.

Retailers will be ready to start fitting out from next month now that the awarding of main packages has been completed, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
