Jumeirah Golf Estates posts 40pc growth in sales
DUBAI, January 23, 2018
Jumeirah Golf Estates (JGE), a premium residential golf destination offering luxury homes and leisure facilities around two internationally-acclaimed championship golf courses, celebrated a record year of sales success at its annual broker awards.
Over 30 real estate professionals gathered to receive recognition for their contribution and success from the leadership of JGE at a ceremony at its state-of-the-art clubhouse, said a statement from JGE.
There was record demand among prospective investors and residents for properties at Jumeirah Golf Estates, which celebrated its best year of sales performance to date during 2017 - with 40 per cent year-on-year growth in sales of units to owners.
A major highlight of 2017 was the launch of Alandalus townhouses and its sell-out within just three hours, besides the official completion and handover of the units of Phase Two of Redwood Park, which has been one of the destination’s most in-demand developments, to the owners.
On the solid performance, CEO Yousuf Kazim, said: "The strong demand we have seen in 2017 is due to both having high-quality properties that meet demand across all levels of the real estate market in a single prestigious destination like JGE and also the continuous support of our partners in the real estate broking community in helping to spread the word and championing its residential community."
Lewis Allsopp, the chief executive of the real estate brokers Allsopp & Allsopp Dubai, said: "We are proud to be working with a ‘Category A’ development that has genuine ‘wow factor’ and an attitude of true partnership towards its brokers."
"High quality developments in Dubai continue to be popular with investors and more than 35,000 units were sold during 2017, with a large proportion of those sold to new buyers joining the market. Since its launch, we have seen a great interest in Alandalus townhouses and Redwood Park, which both offer a combination of affordability, location and great finishings," he added.
To celebrate the achievements of the brokers over the past year, the awards recognised the contribution of the best performing agents and brokers across several distinct categories:
•Jumeirah Golf Estates Best broker 2017 - Union Square House Real Estate
•Best Broker 2017 for Alandalus Apartments - Union Square House Real Estate
•Best Agent 2017 for Alandalus Apartments -Maria Cecilia Reinaldo Santos Correa
•Best Broker 2017 for t Alandalus Townhouses - Fine & Country Real Estate
•Best Agent 2017 for Alandalus Townhouses -Tanja Landsiedel
Manika Dhama, the senior consultant, Strategic Consulting and Research, Cavendish Maxwell and Property Monitor, said: "2017 was an active year for off-plan transactions with nearly 67 per cent of total transactions being under-construction projects. While price and rent declines continued across the market in the last 12 months, there is greater differentiation in terms of the type of communities that buyers are choosing."
"It is back to the basics with better quality developments having good maintenance, superior infrastructure, connectivity and facilities faring better than others," stated Dhama.
According to him, the same is evident in the performance of Jumeirah Golf Estates, which has been developed with the golf course at the heart and is among the top tier villa/townhouse communities in Dubai, with average sale rates of Dh1,422 per sq ft according to the Property Monitor Index.
Situated 15 minutes from the Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina and only minutes away from the site of Dubai Expo 2020 and Al Maktoum International Airport, Jumeirah Golf Estates is well placed to provide an unforgettable experience for golfers at its two world-class Greg Norman-designed golf courses, Fire & Earth, and residents seeking quality, luxury homes and a peaceful setting within easy reach of Dubai’s top attractions.
Upcoming metro connectivity to the area near the second phase of the project is also expected to improve buyer interest in coming years, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
