Union Coop, Meydan to set up new mall in MBR City

DUBAI, November 25, 2017

Union Coop, the consumer cooperative of Dubai and manager of hypermarkets, said it has signed a contract with Meydan City Corporation to purchase a plot of land for developing a mall at Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum City - District 11.
 
A major residential project in Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum City - District 11 consists of two main areas: the first contains 1,500 semi-separate four-room villas, and the second containing 700 four-room housing units in Meydan Villas area. 
 
Both areas boast a unique arrangement of natural scenery, green spaces, and serviced with educational and service facilities. The project also features a unique position with easy access from Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Dubai-Al Ain Road.
 
With the world-class expertise of Union Coop in retail, this project will contribute to providing the best services to shoppers residing in the housing complex and Nad Al Sheba 1 and 2 areas and Wadi Al Safa (3), remarked Majid Hamad Rahma Al Shamsi, the chairman of the board of directors at Union Coop, after signing the agreement with Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, the chairman and CEO of Meydan City Corporation 
 
The mall will occupy an area of 206,000 sq ft and consist of two floors containing a hypermarket, retail shops, and services outlets. 
 
The signing held at the Meydan office was attended by Khalid Humaid bin Diban Al Falasi, CEO of Union Coop, along with Madiya Al Marri, the director of Properties & Projects Division, and Mohammed Al Marri, the director of Business Development section at the Properties & Projects Division.-TradeArabia News Service
