Bahrain completes key road revamp work

Bahraini authorities have completed the road revamp project at Riffa area with focus on Roads 2929, 2928 and 2930 in Block 929 in Riffa.
The project is part of a comprehensive plan implemented by the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning to revamp roads, increase safety levels on the roads network and accommodate citizens’ and residents’ needs, said a statement from the ministry.
The scope of work included implementation of a new asphalt layer, levelling works, ground channels for future usage and painting of ground markings and signage, it stated.
Sayyed Bader Alawi, the director of Roads Projects & Maintenance at the ministry, said the BD85000 ($223,348) project has been successfully implemented by Nass Asphalt.
The project starts at Avenue 41 in Block 929, and extends to cover Roads 2929, 2928 and 2930 thus catering to 118 housing units in the area.
