Saudi King launches $1.6bn infrastructure projects

Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has launched 21 infrastructure development projects worth SR7 billion ($1.6 billion) in the Madinah region, said a report.
These projects will cover the key sectors of electricity, agriculture, water, education and transportation, reported Saudi Gazette.
The launch was held at a special ceremony organised by Prince Faisal Bin Salman, emir of Madinah province, and Prince Saud bin Khaled Al Faisal, deputy emir of the province, and the citizens of Madinah for the Saudi monarch, it stated.
The Saudi King and the guests later watched a presentation on the projects of Madinah Development Authority, it added.
