Sharjah's government said key discussions were held on a draft law with regard to procurement, tenders, auctions, and warehouses for 2017.

The members of the special legislative and legal affairs committee of Sharjah Advisory Council were briefed on the draft law referred to by the Executive Council based on Item 4 of Article 7 of Law No.02 for 1999, regarding the establishment of the Executive Council of Sharjah, reported Emirati news agency Wam.

The convening members gave their opinion on different items in the draft, the definition and purpose of the law, as well as the duties and competencies, said the report.

The members of the Legislative Committee made several amendments based on the views of their members before submitting a report to the Economic, Financial and Industrial Affairs Committee of the Council, it added.
