Dubai set for grand Cityscape Global opening
DUBAI, September 10, 2017
Nearly 300 local and international exhibitors are set to showcase their flagship projects at the world’s premier real estate exhibition, Cityscape Global, which kicks off today (September 11) in Dubai, UAE.
The 16th edition of region’s leading real estate exhibition is expected to host up to 40,000 participants, said the event organisers.
With on-site sales permitted for the first time for all UAE-based projects, a host of special offers and exclusive deals have been created by numerous local and international developers vying for investor attention, they stated.
Attractive offers and new launches are expected at the show from Aldar Properties, Azizi Developers, Binghatti Developers, Damac, Deyaar Development, Dubai Properties, Jumeirah Golf Estates, Meydan Group, Nakheel and Union Properties.
Among the numerous new property announcements, UAE real estate developer Imkan has identified the event as the ideal platform to launch Makers District, a 118-hectare waterfront community on Reem Island, Abu Dhabi, offering residential, hospitality, commercial and retail space.
Walid El Hindi, the chief executive at Imkan, said: "The Makers District development epitomises our approach to creating soulful places that enrich people’s lives, and we’ve chosen Cityscape Global to launch it. Cityscape will also be the opportunity for people to learn more about Imkan and our pioneering research-driven approach to building new communities."
Turkish developer Garanti Koza Holding are returning to Cityscape Global this year with two new projects: Sofia Square, an innovative mixed-use development featuring the first artificial lake ever made in Bulgaria; and SwissOtel, a 50-storey 5-star hotel and serviced apartments located at Istanbul’s fast-growing Esenyurt district, Koza Park.

The Cityscape Global Conference, which concluded today, welcomed around 1,500 delegates who heard from prominent speakers including Marwan Bin Ghalita, the chief executive of Dubai Land Department and Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Marjan Faraidooni, senior VP, Legacy Development and Impact, Expo 2020, Craig Plumb, the head of research, JLL Mena, and Wesam Lootah, the chief executive, Smart Dubai Government.
