Bothar Boring & Tunneling in big Mideast expansion

DUBAI, May 31, 2017

Australian group Bothar Boring & Tunneling is expanding its operations in the Middle East with the addition of three all-terrain cranes - Demag AC 500-8, AC 100-4L and a Terex Explorer 5600 - from Terex Corporation,  a global manufacturer of lifting and material processing products.

The company has been operating in the Middle East since 2010 and has successfully completed many high profile micro-tunnelling sewer and cable tunnel projects in Kuwait and Abu Dhabi, and the UAE, said a company statement.

After recently being awarded major contracts for micro-tunnelling jobs in Qatar, the company determined it needed to add further units to its current fleet of 15 cranes, it stated.

Bothar Boring & Tunneling said it picked up Terex Cranes after evaluating multiple crane brands and models.

"We were impressed with Terex’s record of providing the quality products that deliver the best return-on-investment and have a strong long-term residual value," said a company spokesman.

An international contractor with over 25 years of experience, Bothar Group of Companies boasts three separate organisations; Bothar Boring, Coleman Microtunnelling and Bothar International.

It has offices in Australia, New Zealand, Qatar, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, South Africa, UK and Ireland and Ghana, with capability to expand into other geographical areas.-TradeArabia News Service
