Colliers International, a global leader in commercial real estate services, has expanded its presence in the Middle East with the opening of a new office in Doha, Qatar.

Colliers’ new office, located in The Pearl, Doha, Qatar, will provide real estate advisory services to developers, end-users, owners and investors across the country, said the company in a statement.

This represents an important building block in the expansion of the firm’s Middle Eastern business, it added.

Colliers' operations in Qatar will be overseen by John D Davis, the regional chief executive for Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region; and the leadership team will comprise four senior directors including Ian Albert, the regional director and head of valuation and advisory; Stuart Gissing, the regional director and head of retail and real estate management solutions; Adrian Camps, the country director and Simon Paterson, the head of agency.

On the launch, Davis said: "The opening of our Doha office is a direct response to client demand for industry leading real estate services in Mena. It is an important step forward in our expansion strategy, giving us access to one of the fastest growing markets in the Middle East."

He pointed out that Qatar was witnessing rapid growth right now. "With the introduction of ambitious projects such as Lusail, The Pearl, Energy City and the Qatar Financial Centre; as well as benefitting from millions of dollars of investment in infrastructure, Qatar presents enormous opportunities for us and our clients," observed Davis.

"We have recruited a team of industry leading professionals to manage the office and we are confident that our new operations in Doha will accelerate the success of our clients in the region," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
