Bahrain Marina masterplan unveiled at Gulf Property Show

Bahrain Marina Development Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Social Insurance Organization (SIO), unveiled the masterplan of its ambitious project, Bahrain Marina, for the first time at the Gulf Property Show, currently under way in Bahrain.
Aimed for completion by 2020, Bahrain Marina will include a five-star hotel, serviced hotel apartments, seafront hotel villas, and a residential tower with freehold apartments. The project will also a leisure area with a unique sea front, retail and dining areas, a marina and a yacht club for yachts and boats of various sizes.
The Gulf Property Show, one of the largest real estate exhibitions in Bahrain, opened yesterday (April 25) and it will run till tomorrow at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Center.
“This event showcases Bahrain’s latest developments in the real estate market to the Gulf region and international audience. Our participation aims to highlight the progress of Bahrain Marina to both the public and stakeholders,” commented chief executive officer of Bahrain Marina Development company, Engineer Yazan Haddad.
“Bahrain Marina features modern designs as well as residential and recreational facilities developed to the highest standards. The project will also contribute to the creation of new jobs and attract investments that will benefit the local economy,” he added.
The lead designer of the project is Benoy, an international architectural firm with vast experience in working alongside largescale projects in the region.

We are also proud of our strategic partnership with Bahrain Marina, one of the most important development projects in the kingdom, and we look forward to working closely with the officials in order to ensure the success of this national project,” said Paul Priest, director – head of Mena at Benoy.
Bahrain Marina Development Company earlier announced the appointment of Al Hassanain Contracting Company to implement the first phase of the project, which includes all the enabling and marine-related works, earthworks, shore protection, quay walls and culvert crossings along with including shore development using environmental-friendly materials and techniques in order to achieve project sustainability and ensure the safety of the marine environment.
The Gulf Property Show is held during the same time of the Gulf Construction Expo and the Gulf Interiors Exhibition and aims to showcase the latest developments concerning the industry. Last year it attracted more than 7,800 visitors and the visitor numbers during the first day of the show recorded a 10 per cent increase, said organisers HCE. - TradeArabia News Service
