Work on new Kuwait airport terminal on track
KUWAIT, February 12, 2017
Work to build a new terminal in Kuwait International Airport (Terminal Two) is expected to be completed in November, the chairman of Kuwait's General Authority of Civil Aviation (Gaca) said.
Sheikh Mubarak Salem Al Sabah noted that national carrier Kuwait Airways will be operating the terminal, reported the Kuwait News Agency (Kuna).
As he toured the terminal, which has been 30 per cent completed, he underscored the significance of this terminal that will cater to travellers perturbed over increasing congestion at Kuwait's main airport.
Located north of Kuwait International Airport, the terminal contains 14 departure gates and will help ratchet up passenger capacity to accommodate some five million travellers.
