UDC breaks ground on Qatar residential project

DOHA, February 5, 2017

United Development Company (UDC), the master developer of The Pearl-Qatar, recently laid the foundation stone for the construction of its latest residential development ‘Al Mutahidah Towers’, located in the Viva Bahriya district at The Pearl, said a report.

The ground-breaking was attended by senior UDC officials and Leighton Contracting representatives, which will be carrying construction works of the buildings, reported The Gulf Times.

Al Mutahidah Towers consist of high-end connected towers offering accommodation units of various dimensions including studios, luxury apartments as well as high-level penthouses and retail stores designed to meet the needs of residents.  

UDC had recently completed 150 days of piling works for the project, which included the execution of approximately 917 piles into the construction territory as well as the excavation and backfilling works, stated the report.

The project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2019, it added.
