Portacool launches new evaporative coolers for GCC
DUBAI, November 22, 2016
US-based Portacool is introducing its novel cooling solutions suited for the GCC region’s hot climate, at the ongoing Big 5 expo in Dubai, UAE.
These products are being sold via distributors and retailers across the UAE and are shipped from the company’s full-service warehouse in Jebel Ali, stated the company based in Texas.
These evaporative coolers are designed to make a noticeable difference in the region's work environment, it added.
With upcoming global events and infrastructure building driving major projects in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, Portacool is predicting a rise in the demand for evaporative cooling solutions.
According to Deloitte’s GCC Powers of Construction 2016 report, the pipeline of projects planned in the GCC as of May 2016 amounts to $2 trillion, with Saudi Arabia and the UAE as the market leaders.
Construction and transport are the two leading sectors with shares of 52 per cent and 19 per cent, respectively.
As per the report, GCC contract awards in 2015 amounted to $165 billion, with both Qatar and Kuwait exceeding previous records with investments in World Cup preparations and large oil and gas primarily driving growth in each country respectively. The top sector was construction with over $70 billion of contracts awarded.
"With all of the projects and infrastructure developments planned or currently under way, there will be a significant need for the appropriate cooling systems and solutions," said Bob Mangiaforte, the vice president for sales in Portacool.
"This year we are introducing four unique evaporative coolers which are suited to the GCC’s hot climate, perfect during the construction phase as well after completion. For us, worker safety and comfort continues to remain in the forefront, and we continue to work with our customers to raise awareness about the impact on productivity and safety," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
