KUWAIT, September 3, 2016

Kuwait-based United Real Estate Company (URC) said its Abdali Mall project in Amman, Jordan, has been shortlisted under the Best Retail Project Award (Built) - Emerging Markets category for Cityscape Global 2016 awards.

Located in Amman’s inner city urban renewal hub ‘Abdali’, the mall is the first development of its kind in the country boasting open-air food courts and indoor-outdoor restaurants, a cinema complex, supermarket, indoor waterfalls and an inbuilt air-conditioning system (cooling and heating).

Abdali Mall is a class leading integration of entertainment, leisure and retail of over 227,000 sq m of built up area.

The awards will be presented at Cityscape Global, the world’s largest property industry expo to be held in Dubai next week.

Celebrating excellence in real estate, the Cityscape Awards - Emerging Markets category recognises outstanding concepts in real estate and architecture from leading real estate developers across the world.

Commenting on the project’s shortlist for the award, Ahmad Kasem, the deputy CEO, said: "We are very pleased with our shortlist nomination for the Best Retail Project Award (Built) as part of Cityscape Global."

"The recognition by the Cityscape Global awards committee is testimony to the unique design features of the Mall and to the significant contribution it is making to the urban renewal landscape in Amman and the region as a whole," he stated.

Cityscape Global, now in its 15th year, hosts one of the largest international real estate exhibitions and features exhibitors and industry professionals from around the world.

Following a rigorous judging process, the winners will be announced at the Cityscape Awards Gala Dinner, which will take place on September 6 at the Conrad Dubai.-TradeArabia News Service
