Majid Al Futtaim, a leading shopping mall, retail and leisure pioneer in the region, hosted a key employment fair in Cairo, Egypt to recruit staff for its mega retail project Mall of Egypt ahead of the launch in September.

Located on Wahat Road in 6th of October City, Mall of Egypt will house 350 retail units of the best local and international brands including a high-end fashion offering of the world’s most prestigious brands.

With 455,500 sq m of built-up area, the mall’s family leisure offerings will include Ski Egypt – Africa’s first indoor skiing slope, a 21 multi-screen VOX Cinemas, a Magic Planet family entertainment centre as well as 6,500 car parking spaces.

The  Mall of Egypt Career Day was held in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt at the Nile Ritz Carlton hotel in the capital.

During the day, Majid Al Futtaim also recruited the required personnel for its different businesses/brands in Mall of Egypt including, Carrefour, Ski Egypt, VOX Cinemas and Magic Planet.

The event was inaugurated by Dr Ghada Wali, Minister of Social Solidarity, in the presence of Abdalla El Nockrashy, Egypt country head (Majid Al Futtaim Properties) and Mouien Al Madhoun, the chief human capital officer, Majid Al Futtaim Holding, Anis Aclimandos, the president of American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt and other officials.

Mall of Egypt Career Day offered over 4,000 job opportunities across a variety of specialties and different seniority levels, with a number of jobs reserved for youth with special needs.

As a leading investor in Egypt, Majid Al Futtaim has made significant investments in bringing unrivalled experiences to the country’s retail and leisure sectors since 1998, stated Al Madhoun.

Most recently, the company cemented its commitment to the market through the implementation of an E£23 billion ($2.57 billion) investment plan.

Through this sizable investment Majid Al Futtaim continues to expand its operations and hire Egyptians in alignment with the government’s growth and development goals, he added.
