Atlas Foundations secures Danube project tender
DUBAI, April 17, 2016
Atlas Foundations, a professional engineering firm in the Middle East, has secured the enabling works and pre-construction services contract for Starz by Danube, following a competitive tendering and contractor selection process.
Starz Tower by Danube, formerly the Ritz Tower by Danube, is a Dh300-million ($81.67 million) development that will come up in Al Furjan neighbourhood in the Jebel Ali area of Dubai, which is in close proximity to Dubai South, a Dh120 billion ($32.67 billion) 140-sq-km mixed-use development that hosts Al Maktoum International Airport and the World Expo 2020.
The site survey and soil investigation has been completed with the final soil investigation reports received. Furthermore, the traffic impact study is being carried out, while the consultants are working on the detailed design which will then be submitted to the authority.
Rizwan Sajan, founder and chairman, Danube Group said: “We are hopeful that our continued association with Atlas Foundations will further our vision to deliver quality construction on time. We work towards keeping our investors well-informed on every stage of project development. The tendering process for main contractors is also under way and the contracts shall be announced soon.”
In a recent development, Danube confirmed that the Ritz Tower by Danube has been renamed as Starz Tower by Danube, effective immediately. The group confirms that everything remains the same except the name and their reinvigorated marketing efforts will now consistently represent the Starz Tower brand.
Starz project brings alive a unique concept of innovative space saving furniture to the fore whereby a part of the living room is converted into a bedroom hence turns a one-bedroom apartment into two-bedroom flat at night. Defying the market trends, Starz by Danube is already 100 per cent sold out. Furthermore, the pioneering concept became hugely popular within a couple of weeks of its launch which ultimately led to closure on sales.
The Starz is Danube Properties fifth major project after Dreamz and the Glitz trio and takes the total value of the group’s real estate portfolio to Dh1.5 billion ($408.37 million). Starz offers 446 apartments including 270 studios, 120 one-bedroom and 56 two-bedrooms units with a built-in modular kitchen, furniture and complete bathroom fittings by Milano, Danube’s Italian bath solutions.
Danube’s first project Dreamz is well on schedule for delivery later this year whereas other projects - Glitz 1, Glitz 2, Glitz 3 and Starz are all four to five months ahead of schedule. - TradeArabia News Service
