Napco to expand production capacity

MUSCAT, March 9, 2016

Oman-based National Aluminium Products Company (Napco), a leading extruder of aluminium profiles in the GCC, will expand its production capacity by installing two additional extrusion presses and a vertical powder coating plant, said a report.

The expansion including construction of a new factory building is estimated to cost RO7 million ($18.1 million). Commercial production from the new plant is expected to start by the end of April this year, added the Oman Daily Observer report.

The company is optimistic on getting volume orders in Oman and other markets in the GCC countries, Raffy Manoug Kozadjian, deputy chairman of Napco, was quoted as saying in the report.

He said that major projects may be delayed, but markets in the GCC anticipate growth with expected investments in infrastructure projects and building construction.

Kozadjian added that the company will continue to explore opportunities for growth in its traditional and the new markets it has captured during recent years by focusing on consolidating its market position through enhanced service and product offerings.
