DOHA, January 16, 2016
Ramboll, a leading engineering, design, and consultancy company based in Denmark, said it has opened a new office in Doha, Qatar, in line with its long-term commitment to the country's development.
The new office was inaugurated by Qatar’s Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim Al Thani and Denmark's Minister of Foreign Affairs Kristian Jensen.
Speaking at the event, Søren Holm Johansen, Ramboll’s group executive director (markets and global Practices) said: "The move to open our new premises is an affirmation of the company's long-term commitment to the country and provides a great opportunity to highlight the relationships Ramboll has created in Qatar."
The Danish engineer has been operating in Qatar for the past 20 years, providing clients with complete, integrated and multi-disciplinary solutions within oil and gas, buildings, transport and environment.
In his address, Jensen said: "As the Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs, I’m very proud and honoured to be part of this official opening of Ramboll’s new office. Denmark is a small country with limited natural resources - and having knowledge-based companies like Ramboll expand and succeed worldwide is of utmost importance for Denmark and our future generations."
According to him, establishing international relations on a business level was also of utmost importance in terms of developing a stronger understanding and a stronger relationship between nations.
"I’m very proud to see Ramboll making a difference in Qatar and growing along the way. A big congratulations to Ramboll on their new office," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
