DUBAI, December 17, 2015
Schön Properties, one of the leading property developers in the UAE with a current property portfolio of Dh7 billion ($1.9 billion), has announced the successful delivery of its new business park project in Dubai.
The Schön Business Park features facilities that offer occupants and users an innovative and profitable experience, such as two basement levels with 1,300 car parks; a ground floor exhibiting over 72 retail outlets catering to the food and service industry and three floors of 304 sizable offices.
Spread over 1.6 million sq ft, The business park, has been strategically positioned as an ideal venue for countries that will be participating in Expo 2020.
Schön Business Park was developed with a concept aimed at meeting the demand for a flexible, open-planned, cost effective office and retail space in Dubai, said senior company officials at the grand handover ceremony held yesterday (December 16, 2015).
The Park is just five kilometres away from the recently opened Al Maktoum International Airport (AMIA) and Jebel Ali Port, they stated.
These key locations coupled with the access of three main highways (Sheikh Zayed Road, Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Al Khail Road), are expected to help drive in more interest to the newly opened business facility, the officials said.
“The project completion marks the start of the journey to Expo 2020. We are pleased at the opening of our iconic project, Schön Business Park, which offers a successful blend of leading corporate offices and world-class global food and retail brands,” remarked Orkhan Salamov, the VP (Corporate Communications) Schön Properties.
"Expo 2020 is creating immense commercial demand next-door, attracting over 25 million visitors and creating over 290,000 jobs over the next four years. Now with the project completion, Schön Business Park will receive the first mover advantage to cater to Expo 2020 requirements. We would like to thank the Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Dubai Lands Department, our investors and our staff in achieving this significant milestone of delivering 1.6 million sq ft," he added.
Additionally, Schön Business Park exhibits a contemporary approach in the characteristic build-up of the project, said a statement from the developer.
The new facility comes equipped with 14 elevators and an efficient district cooling system, which consists of 175 fan coil units exclusively serving the 600 units and common areas to ensure optimum comfort for the occupants.
A total of 4,581,750 kg of steel and 30,000 cu m of concrete were utilised in creating the building. Moreover, the project incorporates over four open skylight areas and corridors that stretch to a substantial length of 1.8 km per floor.
“We are pleased to hand over this project, which due to its sheer size, is equal to over 30 projects. With most of our development portfolio catering to this significant event in Dubai’s history, our investors and purchasers are poised to make significant gains in the up-coming years. The Project at full occupancy will facilitate over 5,000 persons,”he added.-TradeArabia News Service
