Bahrain ... gearing up for property expo.
Trowers & Hamlins signs up for Bipex forum
DUBAI, November 4, 2015
Trowers & Hamlins, a leading real estate legal advisory firm, has been officially named as the leader of the forum at the upcoming Bahrain International Property Exhibition (Bipex) in Manama.
The expo will run from November 5 to 7 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Center under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khaled bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.
To be held on the opening day, the Bipex forum will assess the industry's experiences so far with the real estate development law and the leasing law.
There will be a panel of specialists with extensive experience locally and regionally in the areas of real estate development and leasing, said the event organisers The Bahrain Society of Engineers.
Experts will provide opinions on the new laws and their potential impact on the industry. The forum will also delve into the stalled projects law and the impact it has had on the market, it stated.
They will also discuss the introduction of a real estate regulator and the role it would have in the context of this newly established set of laws.
The forum will provide an opportunity to the developers, investors, buyers and the general public to learn about the current market along with its projected outlook from experts, said the organisers.
"This year’s Bipex comes at a time when the real estate market in Bahrain is enjoying a recovery with increased levels of activity across all sectors," said Abdul Haq Mohammed, the international managing partner at Trowers & Hamlins.
“This coincides with a major push by the government to establish a more advanced set of laws and regulations to govern this key industry and help encourage its growth. This forum will provide delegates an opportunity to explore the implications of these new laws with a panel of experts,” he added.
A long-established international law firm, Trowers & Hamlins is a regional specialist and has some of the largest and most experienced teams of lawyers in the Middle East. It has more than 130 partners and 800 staff members.-TradeArabia News Service
