Qatar Rail floats tenders for 12 metro station works

Qatar Rail’s tendering committee has floated tenders for developing 12 proposed metro stations, according to a report.
The company is seeking competent consultants and contractors to carry out the project, said The Peninsula report.
It will start accepting tender forms from October 11 to 25, it said.
The first phase of the Doha Metro project will see the opening of 37 stations, while another 60 stations would be opened in the second phase.
About 50 per cent of the 113 km long tunnelling works for the metro have been completed, a senior company official was quoted as saying.
