Tasweek plans $3bn investment in Morocco

ABU DHABI, April 13, 2015

Abu Dhabi-based Tasweek will invest up to $3 billion to develop “healthcare cities” in the Moroccan port cities of  Tangiers, Agadir and Casablanca, CEO Masood Al Awar was quoted as saying.

The advanced medical infrastructures will be financed by Emirati investors, according to Morocco World News, which cited news website Hespress.

Tasweek is also likely to inaugurate the Marrakech Healthcare City by the first half of 2015, the report said.

The mixed-use $60 million project is spread over an area of around 21,000 sq m and it is minutes away from the international airport and the central business district of Marrakeh.
