Mercury Mena wins MEP contract in Qatar

MANAMA, September 21, 2014

Bahrain-based Mercury Mena, an engineering specialist solutions provider, has been awarded a contract for complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works for a major healthcare project in Qatar.

The Workers Hospital and Integrated Health Centre project in Mesaieed comprises a 120-bed hospital, an integrated health centre, a mosque and a central utility plant.

Hospitals for single workers are among a number of important health projects announced by the Supreme Council of Health (SCH). These health centres offer comprehensive medical services including specialised medicine and emergency services round the clock, part of the SCH’s plans to create a network of hospitals and health centres to provide integrated services for expatriate workers.

Mercury Mena’s contract includes plumbing and drainage, electrical works, extra low voltage installations, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning works, life safety works, medical gas installations and pneumatic tube systems with provision for future expansion of up to 200 beds and related clinical area.

Mercury Mena will work in co-operation with Contraco Trading & Contracting, which is the main project contractor and with consultants Jain Engineers.- TradeArabia News Service
