Saudis award $78m industrial contracts

RIYADH, September 3, 2014

Saudi Arabia’s Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu has awarded two contracts worth SR293 million ($78 million), one for a new wastewater treatment plant in Ras Al Khair Industrial City and the other for engineering services in Jubail.

The first contract involves the construction of the wastewater plant at Ras Al Khair Industrial City to produce quality water for irrigation purposes, the Arab News reported adding that the project was expected to take more than two-and-a-half years to complete.

The second involves providing detailed engineering studies, designs and preparing plans, specification and awarding documents for upcoming projects in Jubail undertaken by the Royal Commission, the report said.
