Bahrain gets ready for 3Gs trio of expos

Manama, April 19, 2014

Curtains are set to rise early next month on the landmark 3Gs trio of expos in Bahrain -- GulfBID, Gulf Property Show and GulfInteriors 2014 – the leading industry-shaping exhibitions in the kingdom.

A remarkable line-up of participants at GulfBID 2014 will anchor a dazzling line up in Hall 1 for the marquee show for construction and building materials in the Northern Gulf.

Last year’s GulfBID Exhibition received a tremendous amount of positive feedback with many companies returning in 2014 to showcase their top selling products.

The show and its two parallel exhibitions Gulf Interiors and Gulf Property Show attracted 9,500 unique registered visitors in 2013 and for 2014 have retained the patronage of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The 3G’s as they are affectionately termed have captured the imagination of exhibitor and visitor alike, said Jubran Abdulrahman, managing director of organisers Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions.

“They provide a unique one-stop-shop for the construction, real estate and interiors sectors.  The three shows covering over 9,000 sq m of floor space allows the visitor to buy a property, look at repairs and renovations to it and interior décor it all at one venue,” he added.

GulfInteriors was established in Bahrain three years ago to complement and run alongside with the well-established GulfBID exhibition. The show today has a unique brand identity, attracting the crème-de-la-crème of the interiors, design and furniture worlds.

Reflecting the demand and tastes of the regional market, the show has since expanded and adapted.  Gulf Interiors gives a showcase for regional demand for home-grown and renowned international brands covering sectors including furniture, paints, kitchens, bathrooms, lighting, ceramics, wall coverings and art and accessories segments, in a creatively charged yet distinctly boutique atmosphere.

Abdulrahman added: “Since 2010, GulfInteriors has developed a flavour and character all of its own. While it still strongly complements the overwhelmingly successful GulfBID, the interiors show has carved a niche as a place where specialist product and service providers can mingle and do business with project managers, specifiers, buyers and even home owners.”

GulfBID, started in 2006, continues to bring top names in the specialist construction, contracting and related sectors into direct contact with decision-makers, from senior project managers to procurement personnel, from all across the region and likewise, have dedicated to continually improve the exhibitor and visitor experience, including a range of new products and service launches.

“We are certainly thrilled with the tremendous response for GulfBID 2014 establishes undeniable interest in the show’s ongoing value proposition, which we strive to recognize for all exhibitors and partners,” Abdulrahman noted.

Given the thumbs up from participants, the stage is now set for GulfBID 2014 and the expectations are that the exhibition will build on positive sentiment of a regional construction sector sustained by healthy economic indicators and the prospect of billions of dollars’ worth of new projects on the horizon.

Complementing both GulfBID and GulfInteriors, the Gulf Property Show has quickly established itself as the only dedicated Real Estate event in Bahrain. The 2014 show has been expanded by over 60% in size; hosting major developers and real estate consultants and professionals.

All three exhibitions enjoy public and private sector support, from such organisations as Bahrain’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Tamkeeen Labour Fund, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, AHK – The German Chambers of Commerce and Industry and British Expertise, Bahrain Property Developers Association.

Staging 3 shows and maintaining separate brand identities has given HCE a challenge.  However, they feel that their task has been made easier by the popularity of the shows.

“The shows attract decision makers and consumers from across the Northern Gulf,” said Abdulrahman.

“We understand the market demands of the Exhibitors across the shows and this is reflected in the marketing campaign that we are undertaking through outdoor, print media, social media, electronic and telephone marketing. Added to this we are working to enhance the commercial environment at the show to ensuring that business is the key to the success of GulfBid, Gulf Property Show and Gulf Interiors 2014,” he concluded.

GulfBid, Gulf Property Show and Gulf Interiors 2014 will take place from 6 to 8 between 9am and 9pm at Bahrain International Exhibition Centre. – TradeArabia News Service
