Saudi authorities have denied any damage to the Bisha Valley Dam due to the recent tremors in Jazan region, an SPA report said.

Reacting to social media reports, a Ministry of Water and Electricity statement said the Internet reports were is untrue, far from reality and not based on technical facts.

It said the reports of cracks in the dam were just a fabrication, slander and baseless. The dam was built after thoroughly studies of the history of earthquakes in the region and in the Red Sea, it said.
