eMart to hold 2nd property auction on Jan 12
Dubai, January 8, 2014
eMart, an online portal run by the Dubai Land Department, has announced a second auction set for January 12, opening bidding for 11 new commercial and residential properties.
Sultan Al Akraf, director of First Registration at Dubai Land Department, said: “This is the second eMart auction within one month, which shows the degree of trust and increased demand for the services of the portal, since the first auction was in December and sold 11 properties worth over Dh74 million ($20 million).”
The number of visitors in the first auction’s first few hours exceeded 1,100, noted Al Akraf.
The department has designated a space in one of its buildings for auctioneers and interested parties, equipped with screens and tablet devices, and staffed by professionals ready to assist bidders and train them in the use of the online auctioning system.
The portal also provides a complete and comprehensive description of the properties and their various constituent parts, including photographs, maps, and other details. This gives participants great flexibility and more trust in the auctions through the transparent nature of operations and the protection of stakeholder rights, the key tenets and primary advantages of eMart. – TradeArabia News Service
