Abu Dhabi housing project phase 1 complete

Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) has completed all construction works related to the Al Ghayathi Housing Project – Phase I, located in the Western Region of the emirate, said a senior executive.
The 181-villa project is now complete and ready for delivery to the concerned authorities over the month, while the 605 villas of Phase II are expected to be delivered in May next year, said Mohamed Khalifa Al-Fahed Al-Mehairi, chief executive officer.
“The implementation of Al Ghayathi Housing Project comes within the framework of the plans and programmes for the improvement and development of the Western Region, which receives great attention and continued support from Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. And Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces,” said Al-Mehairi.
“Al Ghayathi Housing Project will contribute to the development of the area, as well as the surrounding areas. It will also create job opportunities for the area’s residents through services required by the project during or after implementation,” he said.
Al-Mehairi further noted that the project aims to provide better living standards for UAE nationals. Musanada is committed to providing ongoing support to the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030, through the creation of residential complexes of a world-class level, which comply with the best international standards.
Ali Al-Haj Al-Mehairbi, executive director of Buildings and Project Management Services at Musanada, said: “The villas in Al Ghayathi Housing Project were designed in accordance with the highest international standards. The design took into consideration meeting the needs of Emirati families in terms of capacity and multiplicity of rooms, as well as the external patio area. The infrastructure of the project was set up to meet the needs and necessities of the modern life.”
“The total area of the project is 285 hectares and work began in August 2012, the ultimate cost of the project being Dh1.145 billion ($311.6 million). The total construction area of each housing unit is 538 sq m. Each villa consists of two floors, comprising five master bedrooms, several Majlis for both men and women, in addition to other fundamental services.”
The outline of the Al Ghayathi Housing Project includes a complex of schools, the new Al Ghayathi City Community Hospital, which is currently being constructed, as well as three mosques, a shopping mall, and a sports centre.
It also includes power stations, an irrigation station, a sewerage plant, a road network, and street lighting, all of which have been completed under the supervision and management of Musanada. - TradeArabia News Service
