The housing plan at Riffa area of Bahrain is on track with a plot of land for 208 homes handed over to the Housing Ministry, said senior official.

His Majesty King Hamad demarcated the land three years ago and the project is expected to go on stream next year.

The land, according to West Riffa municipal councillor Ali bin Khalil Al Mohannadi, is located in Block 910.

In another West Riffa housing development, a plot in Block 910 that could be used to build 118 houses has already been identified.

Al Mohannadi said a request to earmark it for housing has already been made to Municipalities and Urban Planning Affairs Minister Dr Juma Al Ka'abi.-TradeArabia News Service
