GAM starts Al-Shmeisani Intersection work

Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) said it had started work on the third stage of Al-Shmeisani intersection at a cost of JD20 million ($28.2 million) and planned to complete it by year end.

According to the city deputy manager for public works, Fawzi Mas’ad, the first part of the construction stage shall comprise the two bridges foundation and columns.

The first bridge will be 300 metres long and located along Al-Nabulsi Street with two lanes in each direction.

The other bridge, about 420 metre long, will be located towards Jamal Abdul Naser roundabout (Al-Dakhelia) through Queen Noor Street, he added.

The GAM official also announced the completion of the Al-Wihdat market project on Al Yarmouk Street at a cost of JD100,000. -TradeArabia News Service
