The Gate Towers project of Sorouh Real Estate, one of Abu Dhabi’s leading real estate developers, has been awarded the “Best High Rise” by The International Residential Property Awards.

The award follows the recent success at the CNBC Arabian Property Awards where Sorouh was the only UAE based developer to receive three five-star awards and two international nominations, said a statement.

The awards are held in association with CNBC Arabia and celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry from around the world.

The Gate Towers was competing against some of the world’s best residential high rise developments - the winners of the corresponding awards for the Americas, Asia Pacific, Africa, UK and Europe.

Gurjit Singh, chief operating officer of Sorouh said: “We are thrilled that The Gate Towers have been measured against the most prestigious projects from around the world, and that they have been awarded for setting the global standard in residential high rise developments.

“Those in Abu Dhabi will be able to see the impressive work that has gone into the ‘place making’ of the two iconic Sun and Sky Towers, part of The Gate Towers. The towers are now nearing completion and will be handed over to customers next year.”
The Gate Towers project sits at the entrance of Shams Abu Dhabi, and will have a stunning presence on Al Reem Island’s skyline. It comprises eight buildings of ambitious scale, among them the 74-storey mixed-use Sky Tower and the 65-storey, exclusively residential Sun Tower.
