Damac twin towers at DIFC reach top floor

Dubai, October 31, 2009

Luxury lifestyle provider Damac Properties, has announced that its iconic DIFC twin tower development Park Towers will reach the top floor this month.

The dual tower project will ultimately top out at 46 floors and this will mark the end of the main concrete structural elements of the building. Meanwhile external glass and aluminium cladding is continuing at pace to give the building its exterior of intricate blue double glazed triangular panels set in aluminium framing.

Contractors Shapoorji Pallonji are working at a rate of completing one floor every five days and Park Towers is now clearly visible to all who approach the DIFC area – its twin towers giving it an eye catching and distinctive appearance among the high rise skyline, according to a spokesperson.

Park Towers is Damac Properties’ only project at DIFC. Thanks to its glazed finish, each apartment will offer stunning uninterrupted views of DIFC.

“To reach the top floor of the building marks a significant stage in the entire construction and development process and this is due to a huge team effort by all involved on site,' said Ziad El Chaar, general manager of Damac Properties.

“We will now be working hard to continue with the progress on the exterior finishing of the building while the MEP works and interior designs and specifications are finalised.'

Cladding at Park Towers is being carried out by Arabian Aluminium – which is currently also carrying out the finishing touches to the cladding at the Burj Dubai.

In addition to offering freehold residential units for both UAE nationals and expatriates, Park Towers will feature three levels of distinctive retail, seven levels of state-of-the-art offices. In addition it will have good connectivity with direct pedestrian access to the DIFC retail spine and financial centre and is within easy walking distance of the Metro stations - the main one of which has already started serving the area.

There will also be a number of hotel type services which will be available for residents including a restaurant and individual post boxes. A resident’s health club with tennis court, saunas, steam rooms, swimming pool, gym and crèche will also be on site along with a children’s playground and designated barbeque area within the landscaped gardens.

'We are delighted to see it reaching this critical stage and look forward to continued progress as we head towards our anticipated completion next year,' added Ziad El Chaar.-TradeArabia News Service
