Drake & Scull International (DSI), a leading UAE-based end-to-end service provider of MEP contracting  services, will hold an open day recruitment drive on Saturday, to fill vacant professional positions for their Saudi Arabia projects.

DSI is looking to recruit approximately 300 people to fill current and future vacancies in its Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP); Civil; and Infrastructure, Water and Power (IWP) business streamlines in Saudi Arabia, said a senior official.

The available positions include construction managers, project managers, commercial managers, design managers, quantity surveyors, site engineers, project engineers, design engineers, QA/QC engineers, draughtsmen, HSE officers and support staff, said Zeina Tabari, Chief Corporate Affairs officer.

The open day will be held at DSI’s offices in Dubai Investment Park, on Saturday (June 13) from 9am to 5pm. This will be DSI’s third open day in 2009.

Previous open days had been held to recruit talent for the UAE whilst the upcoming open day will be focused on Saudi only.

Tabari pointed out that the initiative was part of DSI’s ongoing efforts to identify promising talent and skills and develop such competencies into exceptional careers.

“DSI is rapidly expanding throughout the region and we need to ensure that we can man these projects with the expertise and dedication that DSI is known for,” she remarked.

“This open day will be a good opportunity for qualified people to explore opportunities within the company,” she added. A list of some of the position available is on DSI’s website: www.drakescull.com.

The company’s aggressive growth strategy has seen DSI take on new projects throughout the Mena region. The company is currently working on projects in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Sudan and Bahrain, with views to soon expand into Libya and Jordan.

DSI is a leading UAE-based end-to-end service provider of MEP contracting, IWP and civil contracting services.

On March 16, DSI became the first specialist contracting company to list on the Dubai Financial Market and is currently working on projects across the Mena region with a total value of approximately Dh6 billion ($1.63 billion).-TradeArabia News Service
