LG Electronics and the well-renowned Arabtec-Efeco have re-established their partnership to equip Arabtec’s upcoming projects in the UAE with commercial air conditioning solutions.

LG Electronics has been working hand-in-hand with Arabtec for the past three years to supply approximately 50,000 air-conditioning units worth Dh92 million ($25.05 million)  to several projects.

In 2007-2008, LG supplied and installed air-conditioners for around 3,500 villas in Umm Al Quwain, and prestigious projects in Dubai such as Arabian Ranches, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Al Warqa, Town Homes at Emirates Hills and Housing Project in Oud Al Muteena.

The new contract with Arabtec is for approximately 30,000 units, valued at Dh70 million and will see LG further strengthening its presence in the region’s booming construction industry.

The new contract for the year 2008-2009 will oversee the supply and installation of air conditioners for around 3,500 villas at projects in MBRHP, Oud Al Muteena, Al Barsha Phase 1, Al Warqa’a, Sanctuary Falls and Equestrian Villas at the Arabian Ranches.

As most developers give priority to cost-effective brands, Fortune International Trading Co LLC (FIT) will handle the after-sales service, warranty and cost-effective maintenance to ensure proper life of the equipment.

FIT, sole distributor for LG Commercial air-conditioning products for Dubai and the Northern Emirates, will ensure strong presence of LG in its territory of operations by assuring prompt delivery of the products through its centralised warehousing system.

The air-conditioning solutions are tailor-made for building projects and provide cutting-edge technology along with trained professionals available for installation and maintenance, courtesy of the LG Training Academy in Ghusais, Dubai.

The academy is the only one of its kind in the UAE, which trains employees to install and maintain air conditioning units for commercial as well as residential purposes. – TradeArabia News Service
