Tiger Woods Dubai plans approved
Dubai, April 16, 2008
The Tiger Woods Dubai, a member of Tatweer, has finalised its master plans and got it approved by the Dubai Municipality and the RTA.
The design and construction are progressing on schedule.
Earlier this year, The Tiger Woods Dubai acquired the approval from DEWA for the project’s electricity substations.
Scheduled for completion in late 2009, The Tiger Woods Dubai is set to be an exclusive lifestyle community with the spectacular Al Ruwaya Golf Course as its focal point. The routing for the golf course, the first to be designed by Tiger Woods, the world’s number one golfer and chairman of Tiger Woods Design, has also been finalised, while its shaping has commenced, said an official spokesman.
“The Tiger Woods Dubai is designed to become one of the world’s most sought after destinations. I think this community will be a genuine oasis for those lucky enough to live or stay within its spectacular grounds,” said Tiger Woods.
The design and layout of The Hotel and The Clubhouse have also been finalized. With construction taking off in phases, the internal access road and fencing of the site were completed shortly after the ground-breaking ceremony in June 2007.
“We are very proud to confirm that the construction of the iconic project is progressing according to schedule. This development highlights our commitment to contribute to Dubai’s pace of growth in diverse domains. The project will make the emirate one of the most recognized cities for golf in the world,” said project director, The Tiger Woods Dubai, Abdullah Al Gurg.
Located over an area of 55 million sq ft, the Tiger Woods Dubai will be an exclusive golf community encompassing a professionally-staffed golf academy; a 139,000 sq ft clubhouse with premium amenities; a high-end destination spa; a 360,000 sq ft high end boutique hotel; and 22 palaces; 75 mansions; 100 luxury villas. – TradeArabia News Service
