Forbes ME hosts event for top start-ups

Forbes Middle East, a licensee of Forbes Media, recently unveiled the region’s most successful and most promising start-ups at an exclusive event attended by over 200 delegates in Dubai, UAE.
The platform brought together the Arab world’s most creative and exciting entrepreneurs, as well as its most active investors, to meet, network, share their knowledge and discuss their futures.

The three rankings comprise 100 Start-ups in the Arab World, 50 Start-ups to Watch and 50 Most Active Investors. Total funding received by start-ups was $1 billion with standalone investment of $571 million in Careem. The UAE also has the largest number of start-ups in the region and the most active investors, followed by Saudi Arabia.
